A bstract Obj ective: To evaluate clinical sign ificance of testing su lfhydryl( SH) in urine for screen ing cervical precancerous
lesion and cervical cancer. M ethod s: Fast self testSH ( FSTSH) w as used to test sulfhydryl( SH ) in urine of 1030 wom en w ith cervical
precancerous lesion, early stage ( A) cervical cancer, m iddlelate stage ( B) cervical cancer, 7 k inds of cancers in other
sites, norm al cervix or ben ign cervititis. Resu lts: Specificity( Sp) w as 9 86% in FSTSH screeningm ethod. Sensitivity( Se), accura
cy(AR) , positive prevalue( PPV), negative prevalue( NPV ), youden index(Y I) , positive likelyhood ratio ( + LR) of FSTSH for
screen ing cervical precancerous lesion( C IN) w as 3571% , 87 2% , 5000% , 9111% , 031 and 695, respectively, the values
