Abstract: A comprehensive assessment on the developing status of environmental protection industry
( EPI) in Anhui Province is made by using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and A nalytic Hierarchy
Process( AHP) so as to provide scientific foundations for the decisionmaking of EPI in Anhui Prov
ince. The research data of EPI in Anhui Province is reasonably classified and calculated to find out the
assessment indices, and according to the importance of these indices, thejudgment matrix is construc
ted and the index w eight is calculated. Fuzzy mathematic models and the methods of qualitative and
quantitative analysis are applied to implementing the comprehensive assessment on the developing sta
tus of EPI in Anhui Province. T he results of the comprehensive assessment match w ith the actual sit
uations.
