The Solubilization Effect of 2hydroxypropy1cyclodextrin on Lornoxicam

ABSTRACT Aim To study the solubilization effect of 2hydroxypropy1cyclodextrin, (HPCD) of various pH and con
centrations on lornoxicam. Methods The solubization experiment was done by the phasesolubility method, and the con
centration of lornoxicam was determined by the UV method.The stability constants( K) of the conclusion complex could be
calculated from the regression equation: K= slope/ intercept( 1slope) . Results The solubility of lornoxicam was enhanced
rapidly with the increase of HPCD concentration and increase of pH.The solubilization effect on lornoxicam is . 499, 1.
