The results show that ocean front of the South China Sea basically occurs along continental shelf, belonging to the shelf front, with strong seasonal variation. There is the widest area temperature front in northern South China Sea in winter. While in Gulf of Thailand and the southern tip of the Vietnam the temperature front is the most extensive in the summer, but it is almost non-existent in winter. Salinity front owns the widest range in winter. Salinity front in North Bay exists throughout the year, but there are significant seasonal changes.
