Analysis on the Status of Sustainable Development of Baiyin City on the Base of Ecological Footprint Analysis

Abstract The ecological foot rint of Baiyin city in 2003 was conducted for calculation and analysis by a lying the ecological foot rint model. The re-

sults showed that Baiyin city had er ca ita ecological deficit of 1. 34128 hm , exceeding 186% of the ecological ca acity, which was in the unsustain-
able state. The main requirement room of ecological foot rint was fossil energy land, which accounted for 65. 5% of the full demand room, being 1. 52
times of the total su ly area of ecological foot rint. The countermeasures of urban sustainable develo ment were suggested according to the results of
calculation and analysis.
