樂曲介紹 Programme Notes 戲 I, VI 郭文景 寫這部作品，是因為我對二十世紀流行的「一個人演奏Ｎ件樂器」這種形式 產生了逆反心理，於是我寫了這部「一件樂器發出Ｎ種聲音」的作品。我把 這種將一個發音物體的可能性掘盡的創作思路稱為「極限寫作」。 因為這種「極限寫作」，中國鐃鈸結束了幾千年來只有兩三種演奏法的局面； 通過這部作品可看出，鐃鈸終於成為了一件重要的、有表現力的樂器。 標題「戲」這個字，在中文裡面有兩個含義：一個是「戲劇戲曲」的意思； 另一個是「嬉戲玩耍」的意思。此曲這兩層意思都包括。此外，在中國民間 傳統打擊音樂裡，從來都包含大量肢體的炫技性表演。這部作品繼承了這種 傳統，樂手們演奏此曲時，肢體表演效果非常重要，它被包含在作曲家的創 作構思之中。在結構方面，這部作品的六個樂章，是按鐃鈸不同的演奏方式 組織的。 ─ 郭文景 Drama I, VI Guo Wenjing This work is written out of the fact that I am totally repulsed by the trend for ‘one th performer to play N pieces of instruments’ prevalent in the 20 Century, and to counter that, I have created something in which ‘one instrument makes N kinds of sounds’. I call this kind of exercise, in which the creative possibilities of a sounding object are explored to the full, the ‘ultimate composition’. Thanks to this, an end was put to the Chinese cymbals’ thousands of years of existence as an instrument which could be sounded in only two or three ways. Through this work, the cymbals have finally become an important and highly expressive instrument. The title Drama carries two meanings in Chinese: ‘theatrical/operatic’ and ‘game/ play’. Further, in traditional Chinese folk percussion music, it is customary to include a lot of physical movements to highlight bravura passages, and such emphasis has been preserved in the present work. It is therefore important that the performance of this piece, as these have been included in the compositional design. Structurally, the music is in six movements, organized according to the different modes of performance of the cymbals. - Guo Wenjing 爆聚
