a Science fiction English novelist. Daughter of the British philosopher William Godwin and the British author and feminist Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin, she was born in London, and privately educated. She met the young poet Percy Bysshe Shelley in May 1814, and two months later left England with him. When Shelleys first wife died in December 1816, he married Mary. In 1818 her first and most important work, the novel Frankenstein, was published. A remarkable accomplishment for a 20-year-old, the work was an immediate critical and popular success. Mary Shelley, (1797-1851) The main plot A young scientist named Frankenstein discovers the secret of how to creat life. He creats a creature and gives it life.But the creature is extremly urgly.Because he has no friends, the monster feels lonely and unhappy.When Frankenstein refuses to creat a wife for him, the monster kills his brother,best friend and his new wife.In order to destroy him, Frankenstein chases him to the Arctic, where they both die.
