Unit 6 Lesson 3 Chinese Paper Art
I divide my teaching plan into five parts.
?Part 1. Analysis of the teaching material
1、Teaching content
The topic of this unit is “Design”, and the main task of this class is reading the passage titled “Chinese paper Art ’’.Through reading ,let Ss learn about the history, types and function of Chinese paper Art .At the same time ,I use some reading strategies in my teaching. By finishing a series of reading tasks , I help the Ss to develop their reading skills.
2. Teaching important points
First, learn about the history, types and function of Chinese paper Art.
Second , develop the Ss’ reading skills. By finishing a series of reading tasks, let them experience the happiness of success.
3. Teaching difficult points
Learn and grasp some vocabulary. such as: marry .put up, be related to ,try out
Part 2. Teaching goals
1.Learn and grasp some vocabulary.
2. Develop the Ss’ reading skills by finishing reading tasks.
3. Through reading, let Ss learn and love Chinese Paper Art.
?Part 3. Teaching methods
1. Use pictures and questions to lead in the text.
2. Task-based teaching method
3. Communicative method
?Part 4. Analysis of the students and learning methods
The Ss’ English levels are different from each other .so I design questions of different difficulty levels to make every student active in class. Ss should preview the passage before class. In class, they should read and answer, discuss in pairs or in groups to finish the reading tasks.
Part5.Teaching procedures
This is the most important part in my teaching plan .According to New course standard of English, combining with the language levels of Ss .I design the following teaching activities to reach the objectives above .
