Abstract: T he given ecogeoenvironmental sett ing has ev ident cont rol act ion on land rocky desertificat ion, rocky
desert ed land most ly dist ribut es in t he river- valley regions w here karst very developed and t ectogenesis was violent
in Guizhou province. Warm and humid monsoon climat e provides corrosion condit ion f or rocky desert ificat ion ;
T ect ogenesis sculpt ured st eep and frag mentized karst land feat ure w ith sharp topographic relief, w hich of fer rocky
desert ificat ion a latent energy; Paleoenvironment supplied rich carbonat e for rocky desertification, f our carbonat e
sedimentary format ions had developed f rom late Sinian to lat e T rias in Guizhou province, pure carbonate rock con
st it ut e the subst ant ial f oundat ion of land rocky desertif icat ion.
