The results showed that electrochem ical noise sig nal is composed of distinct types of eventswhich can be classified according to their scales, .i e. their tmi e constants. At the beginning of corrosion, the maxmi um relative energy is defined in the lowfrequency ( crystalsw ith high scale) region due to the diffusion processes of aggressive ions to the defectsof the orig inal discrete film formed in air, while theD crystals of small tmi escales also possesses high relative energy due to the pitting corrosion. W ith the prolongation of mi m ersion tmi e, the structure of corrosion product layer changes( local spallation, grow th) due to the influence ofH and aggressive solutions, the accumula 2 ted position of them axmi um relative energy changes synchronously.
