During decades after 1978, within the push of two strategic objectives which focus on developing energy and traffic, the height of Chinese road and bridge building have reached a new point. China has been always learning, following and importing new materials, new technologies and new workmanships, and have built many complex long-span bridges. However, within the development of science technologies and the improvement of economic and culture level, higher demands are needed for bridge buildings. Even through Chinese bridge building career has got great progress, there’s still a big distance to keep up with developed countries.
