The p ast 30 decadesreform and op en ingup are also the 30 years for u s to em ancip ate ou r m ind s. N ew year w ill bring a new round of m ind em ancip ation. The author discu sses m ind em ancip ation at p re sen t stage and po in ts out that: the p re sen t m ind em ancip ation m ean s to arm ou r m ind s w ith scientific developm ent view s and discard any idea s that go again st it. It also m ean s to reform the system and m echan ism s that do not fit the requ irem ents and goals of the scien tific developm ent view; to strive for the realization of a good and fast national econom y advancem ent; to ach ieve a harmon iou s developm ent, u rban and rural, econom ic and societal, hum an and nature; and also to p romote the social harmon iou s developm ent in the light of the scien tific developm ent view.
