Methods RA grou (40 cases) and control grou (45 cases) w ere examined by highfrequency and color Do ler ultrasound in synovial thickness. The thickness, color flow grading, resistance index ( RI) of synovium of RA grou were evaluated before and af ter thera y. The correlations betw een thickness, color flow grading of synovium and CRP/ ESR w ere also analyzed. Results The synovium in RA grou before thera eut ics were thicker than t hat in control grou ( [ 5. 25 2. 36] mm vs [ 0. 68 0.01] mm) . The thickness of synovium declined ( [ 2. 17 0. 92] mm vs [5. 25 2. 36] mm) , color flow of synovium low ered, and RI rose u ( [ 0. 92 0. 09] vs [ 0. 60 0.05] ) aft er thera y. Varying correlations were manifested betw een t hick ness of synovium, color flow grading of synovium and ESR/ CRP in RA grou . Conclusion Ultrasonogra hy is valuable in detecting synovial lesions, thera eutic evaluation and activit y judging of RA .
