The Model for Evaluating the Sustainability of Tourism Resort Based on Tourism Yield System WANG Ya-li (College of Resource and Environment Science, Hu’nan Normal University, Changsha 410000, China; Normal College, Jishou University, Jishou Hu’nan 416000, China) Abstract: The impacts of tourism on regions are comprehensive, if we evaluate the sustainabilty of a tourism resort only on economic or environmental aspect, it will neglect other important impacts of tourism and result in the error of evaluation. So far, in our country, people usually adopted one-dimension parameters to evaluate the destination’s sustainability and gain an integrated result through mathematical models. The problem of this is that they lack the objective system of reference for evaluating and it not easy for them to point out the main problem existed in the sustainable development of a tourism resort. After introducing the concept of the integrating tourism yield, this article proposes a proper model for evaluating the sustainability according to the current, required and potential yield of a tourism resort.
