Word came that he won the game. 三、注意事项： 1. whether与if区别：①whether与if都可以引导宾语从句，常可互换。但下面情况不能互换：宾语从句中的whether 与or not直接连用，就不能换成if。不直接连用，可换。 e.g： I don’t know whether or not the report is true. I don’t know whether/if the report is true or not. ②介词后的宾语从句要用whether引导。whether 可与不定式连用。whether也可引导主语从句、表语从句、同位语从句，以上均不能换成if。但引导条件状语从句时，只能用if，而不能用whether。 e.g. It depends on whether we have enough time. They don’t know whether to go there. Please come to see me if you have time. 2. 同位语从句和定语从句的区别： 判断以下从句是定语从句还是同位语从句： ①We all know the truth that the earth goes round the sun. 同位语从句 ②The book that I bought yesterday is worth reading. 定语从句 结论： 前者说明名词的内容，后者说明名词的性质特征，对其限制、修饰； 前者所用连词that不充当句子充分，后者所用关系代词that充当句子成分。 3. What 与that区别： What_ I can’t understand is why he has changed his mind.
