(Dep artment of Chest Surgery, irstHospital, Jilin University, Changchun 130021, China) Abstract: Objective To study the relationshipbetween expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and EGFR mu- tation and its clinical significance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) . Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of EGFR and gene sequencing was used to determine EGFR mutation in 130 cases of NSCLC, and the relationship between expression of EGFR and EGFR mutation was studied.Results EGFR mutation was found in 38 of 130 cases of NSCLC,the mutation ratewas 29.2%.The positive expression rates of EGFR in NSCLC was 66.7%.The expression of EGFR hadnot correlationwith mu- tation( P 0.05) .Conclusion The expression of EGFR in NSCLCwas not related to EGFR mutation, itwas not the predictive mark- er of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) response.
