Climate, weather, topography and natural resources are elements of physical geography and environment that have a direct impact on international business. (a) The table below lists a simple classification of world climates. Describe the main characteristics of one of the climates listed below. Identify a region or a country that has the climatic conditions you have selected and described. Using examples explain the impact the climate has on international business for that region or country. I will talk about the climate of the north of China. It belong to monsoon climate of medium latitudes. In winter, it is cold and dry and it is hot and always rain in summer. Because of this climate, the drought in north China is very serious. Since 1997s, many areas continuous 5 and 6 years to encounter drought. Result in huge losses of agricultural production and ecological and environmental deterioration. (b) Extremes of weather can cause large scale destruction. Early in the morning, on August 29,2005, Hurricane Katrina made landfall with a category 3 rating on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale bringing winds of 100-140 miles per hour. Describe what is meant by the term weather. Identify a region or country that suffers from hurricanes or other extreme weather conditions. Using examples, explain the influence that extremes of weather can have on international business for your selected region or country. The word weather means the short-term atmospheric conditions like temperature and the speed of flow. For example, Beijing always suffers sandstorm. And sandstorm carry a large number of sand and dust storms shading. Resulting in a decrease of solar radiation and a few to ten hours of bad visibility. Person will make a large number of livestock dyed respiratory gastrointestinal diseases.
