In the meantime the meniscus was removed. Accordin to a period of time the condylar articular surface was removed out. The pro ress of the articular surface repairin was observed wit h eyes, microscope and electron microscope. = Results After injury of the articular surface of the condylus medialis femoris of rabbit, fibrous cartila e in2 stead of hyaline cartila e was healed in the injured re ion, just similar to human articular cart ila e injury. = ConclusionT he articular cartila e injury in the experimental rabbit is a ood animal model to express the patholo ical mechanism of osteoarthritis of human knee.
