This algorithm, which first solves target. s alt-i tude and avoids il-l conditioned system of equation, can improve the location accuracywith the same operating complex-i ty. It also makes useof system. s redundant information effectively byweighted least squares estimators.Its performance is compared with that of the existing techniques of spherical intersection, quadratic-correction least squares estimators, and the Cramer-Rho lower bound. Numerical studies demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is simple and effective.
