Information Center, Yangzhou University, Yangzhou 225009, China) 1Abstract2 This paper emphasized the importance of establishing a unified philosophical foundation of information science at first, then reviewedthe present domestic mainviewpoints on philosophicalfoundationof informationscience. It summarized several viewpoints of philosophy, such as information philosophy, philosophy of critical realism, Marxism philosophy and other philosoph- ical viewpoints.
