The results showed that the concentration of HCHs, DDTs and total organochlorinated pesticides in the core ranged from 21 0 to 2517 ngPg, 01 3 to 119 ngPg and 312 to 281 3 ngPg, respectively. ccording to the sediment map, the organochlorinated pesticides inthe sediment ofYong 1008 cross sectionmainly comefrom the agricultural production and industrial pollution inthe upstream from 1980 to 1991. Therefore, inthefuture reservoir desilting and dredging engineering, special attention should be paidto re-release of organochlorinated pesticides from the sediments at different levels and disposal of the sediments after dredging.
