An antisw ing contro ller ba sed on slidingmode m ethod for overhead crane is p re sen ted. The m athem atical model of the overhead crane is dealed. Two k ind s of slidingmode controller are de signed. The model is con troled by a singleinput slidingmode. The effectivene ss of the slidingmode is p roved by lyapunov m ethod.
