Abstract:Todealwiththeinherentnonlinearityandopen-loopinstabilityoftheelectromagneticsuspension(EMS)
system,anewnonlinearcontrolmethodisproposed.Thesimulationresultsshowthat,foraPIDcontroller,theover
shootofthesystemresponsetoanairgapstepdisturbanceisabout3mm,andthetransienttimeis6s;however,forthe
proposednonlinearcontroller,thereisnoovershootandtransienttimewithin2s.Theproposedmethodhasafasterre
sponseandstrongerrobustness.Withadesignedbi-DSPsuspensioncontroller,thisnonlinearcontrolmethodwasim
plementedontheShanghaiUrbanMaglevTestLine(SUMTL)tovalidateitseffectivenessandfeasibility.
