Abstract: Let C0 S1 be the set of all continuous maps of the unit circle. Let  f and deg f be the       non-wandering set and the degree off , respectively. Let f C0 S1 . In this paper, it was proved that : 1) Iff   is a strictly monotone function then it is topologically conjugate to g and  f k S 1 for any k 1 , where   g z z m , z S 1 and m deg f ；2) The inverse limit system S 1 , which is generated by f is ex-      f f  pansive if and only iff is positively expansive ；3) For any integer n 0 ,f is positively expansive if and only if f n is positively expansive. Also, some equivalent conditions on a continuous selfmap with expansive in- verse limit on a circle are given, and some important properties of these maps were obtained. Some corre- sponding results in the literatures are improved and extended.
