Markovrepairablesystemswithstochastic regimesswitching LiyingWangt,2,LirongCui1, MingliYu1 1.SchoolofManagementandEconomics,BeijingInstituteofTechnology,Beijing100081, R.China; 2.DepartmentofMathematicsandPhysics,ShijiazhuangTiedaoUniversity,Shijiazhuang050043,P.R.China Abstract:ComparedwiththeclassicalMarkovrepairablesystem, theMarkovrepairablesystemwithstochasticregimesswitching introducedinthepaperprovidesamorerealisticdescriptionofthe practicalsystem.Thesystemcanbeusedtomodelthedynamics ofarepairablesystemwhoseperformanceregimesswitchaccord ingtotheexternalconditions.Forexample,tosatisfythedemand variationthatistypicalforthepowerandcommunicationsystems andreducethecost,thesesystemsusuallyadjusttheiroperat ingregimes.Thetransitionratematricesunderdistinctoperating regimesareassumedtobedifferentandthesojourntimesindis tinctregimesaregovernedbyafinitestateMarkovchain.Byusing thetheoryofMarkovprocess,Ionchanneltheory,andLaplace transforms,theuptimeofthesystemarestudied.Anumerical exampleisgiventoillustratetheobtainedresults.Theeffectof sojourntimesindistinctregimesontheavailabilityandtheuptime arealsodiscussedinthenumericalexample.
