1. PURPOSE The purpose of this procedure is to define the process of operation of the Parts and Accessories Division within Downer EDI Rail and with its customers. 2. SCOPE This procedure defines the core processes and the related responsibilities and authorities of the Parts and Accessories Division. 3. PROCESS FLOWCHART The process flowchart for this procedure is available in Appendix 1 of this document. 6. PROCESS RESPONSIBILITIES 6.1 Sales Quotations and Pricing 6.1.1 For the traditional line of products (spare parts for locomotives – EMD / Clyde / Downer EDI Rail products) the Customer Service staff are first point of contact with all customers inquiries. When requested by the customer they shall gather all the necessary information to prepare a competitive quote and deliver it using the Quotation module in Clyman (Refer Clyman Sales Order Processing (CWI-3406)). The National Parts Manager shall authorise deviations from the pre-defined “tier-pricing” established in the system, based on who is the customer, quantities at stake, volume of the quote, and any specific competitive conditions that may apply. 6.1.2 For new product lines of business (spares for wagons and passenger trains – Siderea / NTR / etc) the Sales Team is responsible for preparing and issuing quotations. The Business Development Manager is responsible for approving pricing for new products. 6.1.3 Pricing of orders in excess of $100,000 with significant deviati
