The results show that, the mode ield ranges o the lowed LPm n increases with the iber core radius and the coat ing layer index. The mode ield ranges o the lowest order L Pmn modes reduces with the increase o the iber core index. The optical strength o the mixed modes reduces with the increase o the transmission distance and the proportion o mixed modes. The M 2 actor o the uncoherent mixed modes increases gradually with the increase o the proportion o the highest order LPm n modes. Howerer, the increase o M 2 actor approaches a critical value when the iber core radius is a 30 m.
