In the proposed algorithm, locomotives are treated as a constant pow er mode,l and the leakage mi pedance of ATs is considered. Pow er flow s when there are multiple trains are calculated by the principle of superposition and iteration. The influence of leakage mi pedanceATs on the performances of electric traction newt orks can be smi ulatedw ith the proposed algorithm. R esults of smi u lation show that the algorithm converges after about 5 iterations for single train, and about 10 iterations for 4 trains; it can solve the pow er flow problem of AT-fed efficiently regardless of the number and positions of trains; and it is more accurate than the commonly used algorithm s based on equ ivalent circu it ofAT-fed system.
