　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　Foreig n L ang uage World No . 3 2002 ( General Serial No . 89) 英语写作成功者与不成功者 在策略使用上的差异 □杨淑娴 提要 : 随着语言教学重点的转移 ,写作教学的中心也由“结果教学法”转向了“过程教学法”。鉴于对学生写作 过程了解越多 ,对学生的帮助越大 ,本文采用问卷 、有声写作和访问的方法 ,先通过 SPSS 软件对英语专业学生 写作过程中策略使用与写作水平的关系进行了定量分析 ,再通过个案研究着重比较了英语写作成功者和不 成功者在策略使用上的不同。研究发现他们在文章构思 、写作侧重点和文章修改等方面有明显差异 。 关键词 : 写作策略 ; 写作成功者 ; 写作不成功者 Abstract : As the focus of writing teaching has shifted from “productbased approach ”to “processbased approach ”, the present study intends to investigate the use of writing strategies during the writing process via a quantitativeorient ed study and a qualitativeoriented study . The former is a questionnaire investigation , which examines the correlation between each writing strategy and writing proficiency of 66 English majors . The latter , aided by interviews , focuses on the thinkaloud composing of 4 successful and 4 unsuccessful EFL writers . The study finds that major differences between successful and unsuccessful writers are : ( 1) the former plan more during both predrafting and drafting , (2) the former tend to focus more on the expression of ideas and idiomatic expression , while the latter p ay more attention to sp elling and grammar , (3) the former revise more than the latter and are more liable to revise at sentence level and discourse level .
