* * Range shift levers may be located in a variety of locations on the tractor; the most common locations being on the left side of the operators’ seat, to the right of the steering wheel or in the center between the operators’ legs. They are usually designated as “A”, “B” and “ C” or 1, 2, 3 to indicate faster speeds. The location of the range control lever may be critical for access to the operators’ platform. * This is a console or “hump” mounted gear transmission lever. Turning brakes usually are used only for parking the tractor equipped with a hydrostatic transmission since this transmission offers dynamic braking with the speed control pedal.
