M any scho lars, compan ies and gu ilds have done som e re- searches in th is area; how ever, m ost of these researches are based on indiv idual project, so it is hard to m aster the trends o f its u se. A fter co llecting and sorting the m aterials o f 21 construct ion projects u- sing B IM in north Am erica and Europe, th is paper ana lyzes bene fit situat ions of stakeho lders in pre- construct ion phases o f these projects, and the ana lysis results show that there are a w ide scope o f stakeho lders that benef it from B IM, such as ow ners, designers, contractors, au thorit ies, suppliers as w e ll as facility m anagers.
