But w hen they w ork in the same electric utility there exists some problems. With traditional control method, the system is stable w hen the capacitor current is not included in the detected load current, but when the capacitor current is included in the detected load current, system sta bility and performance of harmonic suppression is incompatible in this system. T hen, a novel control method in which the grid voltage, grid current and load current are detected to control the output current of shunt active power filter w as proposed. The proposed control method makes the system operate effectively w hen the capaci tor current is included in the detected load current. omputer simulation is performed to verify the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method.
