The former was concluded as increasing production quantity ，raising scale expansion and obvious regional distribution ，and the latter was concluded that consumption structure should be adjusted ，prices increased year by year ，urban and rural consumption markets were different from each other. Consequently ，the author put forward some suggestions on promoting the development of these two industries ，such as breeding should be supported and fostered strongly ，raising scale should be expanded and the industrialization development should be speeded up ，the government macroeconomic regulation and control management should be strengthened． Key words :beef cattle and mutton sheep ;production and consumption ;characteristic ;prospect ［1］ ，
