The inverter is controlled in order to: vary the motor speed by adjusting both frequency and voltage, and to vary the current to provide the torque needed to move the load. * A variable speed drive consists of 2 main parts: (? 1) A power part (? 2) And a control part (? 3) The heart of the power part is the frequency converter, which is tasked with supplying the motor.
