The w hole of three per io d la ted for nearly fifty y ear during the Liang dyna ty ( 502-557) . Becau e of different literary tendencie of four Xiao , the dominant literary v iew of the gr oup changed with the change of each repre entativ e: fro m adv ocating cla ici m to inheriting the tradition and m aking alteration and then to eeking new change . At the ame time, r ely ing on their tro ng political po ition and literary talent , they each organized literary gr oup w ith them elv e a the core, carrying out all kind of literary activitie , w hich led to a tran formational period from being cla ical and eleg ant to being natural and graceful and finally to being ornate and vivid in term of the poetic tyle during the Liang dyna ty .
