Retrospective Analyses on 63 Western-Chinese Combination Treatments for Herpes Zoster Speciality:Dermatology,Surgery of TCM Author:Li Shuangyang Tutor: Associate Professor Tang Zhikun Abstract Objective:This thesis analyzes patients with herpes zoster in Shandong provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine so as to summarize the frequently-occurring season, inducing factors and pathogenic sites of herpes zoster, and provide reference for further optimizing Chinese and Western medical treatment for herpes zoster. Methods:63 Patients qualified for this retrospective case study were divided into two age groups for further researeh:31 Patients in young-middle aged group(28 years old≤age60 years old) and 32 patients in middle-elder aged group(60 years old≤age≤88 years old).A comparative study between the two groups is made through observing information on frequently-occurring season,inducing factors,course of disease,pathogenic sites and treat with traditional Chinese and Western medicine as well as comparing efficacy and extinctive time of pain between the two groups. Results:No significant differences were found between the two groups in terms of choice such as syndrome differentiation upon hospitalization,taking Chinese Medicine,drugs for external use,antiviral drugs,analgesics,neurotrophic drugs and immunomodulating drugs,but glucocorticoids.No significant differences were found between the two groups in efficacy,extinctive time of pain and the time of herpes disappearing.
