Methods:Collected 269 medical records of diabetic outpatients and inpatients from January 2009 to December 2011 in Endocrinology and health department of affiliated Hospital of Shandong Traditional Chinese Medicine University. Analyze the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus of TCM syndrome of senile patients and its objective correlation with statistics software SPSS17.0 on line. Results: ①Syndrome combination distribution of TCM syndrome in senile patients:Syndrome(6.3%),Combination of two types of syndromes(48.0%),Combination of three syndromes(25.3%),Combination of four syndromes(19.3%),Combination of five and more syndromes(1.1%).②Divided TCM syndromes into 18 types,blood stasis(accounting for 59.5%),Qi-deficiency syndrome(accounting for 58.7%),Yin deficiency syndrome(accounting for 50.2%),Phlegm-damp Syndrome(accounting for 26.7%),kidney deficiency syndrome(accounting for 21.5%),spleen deficiency syndrome(accounting for 12.6%).③269 cases of statistics exit total 53 different TCM syndrome types,Major syndromes including qi-yin deficiency plus phlegm and blood stasis (13.3%),Qi-Yin deficiency syndrome(13.0%),Qi asthenia and phlegm-stasis syndrome(12.6%),qi-yin deficiency with blood-stasis syndrome(11.1%),phlegm-stasis in channels(8.9%),Spleen and kid
