Clinical observation of auricular diagnosis and treatment for sixty cases with Lumbar Disc Herniation Speciality: Acupuncture and Tuina Author: Zhang Lili Tutor: Prof. Ma Qijiang Abstract Objective: With comparative observation between patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation and healthy people diagnosed by three common ear diagnosis methods, the visual examination method,palpation and electrical determination method,to obtain the clinical effects whether the three methods have the difference or not;To explore the therapeutic effect of treating the lumbar disc herniation by “cuting therapy” at the auricular reaction points . Methods: 60 cases with lumbar disc herniation were randomly selected as observation group ， and 30 cases healthy people as control. To observe the patients and healthy people’s auricular points with the visual examination method, palpation and electrical determination diagnostic method，and then do data statistical analysis to get the conclusion. By cuting auricular positive points treatment on lumbar disc herniation, according to the score of the Japanese Orthopaedic Association low back pain surgery(JOA) ， and the scores were compared among the improvement of symptoms situation to get the conclusion. Results: 1.By detecting the auriculat positive points with the visual examination, palpation, electrical measurement method and electrical determination diagnostic method, the observation group and control group both have a very significant difference(P0.01). 2.Three different ear diagnostic methods in the observation group group by the Wilcoxon rank sum test for the Multiple Comparison, have a very significant difference(P 0.017). 3.
