Clinical Research on Treating Coronary Heart Disease and Stable Angina Pectoris with xintongning granule Speciality: cardiovascular medicine of TCM Writer: Wang xianxian Tutor: Professor Wang cuiping Abstract This study used xintongning granule to treat coronary heart disease and stable angina pectoris .Coronary heart disease and stable angina pectoris belong to chest bi-syndrome and cardialgia of TCM. The pathogenesis of acute chest bi-syndrome and cardialgia is stagnation of qi, blood stasis obstruct the collaterals of heart, with the basic pathogenesis of stagnation of QI. a principle of treatment of regulating QI, activating blood circulation, removing obstruction in the channels to relieve pain was selected. Choosing herbs, prescribing rationally, we developed xintongning granule.25 patients treated with xintongning granule were taken as curative group, another 25 cases treated with danshen tables were taken as control group. The results showed that the total effective rate of the relief of pain was 96% in the curative group, and 88% in the control group, the curative group was more valid than the control group. The total effective rate of ameliorating symptom of the curative group was 96%, which was obviously superior to that of the control group of 88% (p0.05).Besides, the curative group had remarkable effect upon improving ECG, which was also superior to the control group(p0.05). The xintongning granule is convenient to operate, it has obvious effect and no side effects, which easy to spread in clinic and provide an effective compound preparation for treating coronary heart disease and stable
