  Clinical Curative Effect Comparison on Chronic Urticaria Wind-Heat Syndrome with Shi Re Qing and Xiao Feng San and the Influence onIL-2, IL-4 Speciality: Dermatology, Surgery of TCM Author:Wang Xiaoping Tuthor: Professor Du Xixian Abstract Objective:to observe clinical efficacy and impact on IL-2 and IL-4 of chronic urticaria wind-heat syndrome patients treated by Shi Re Qing and Xiao Feng San.To prove the clinical curative effect of Shi Re Qing and explore the possible th erapy mechanism.Method:60 cases were divided into two g roups at radom with the ratio of 1:1.The first group with Shi Re Qing; The second group with Xiao Feng San. During 4 weeks treatment, the number and most diameter of wheal, the frequency ang duration of wheal , the degree of itching and untoward effect were observed. We analysed changes of IL-2 and IL-4 of 10 patients in every group before and after the treatment and was comparied with 10 normal persons. Results: After 4 weeks, total efective rate of the first group is 93.3%, total efective rate of the second group is 90.00%. there are no obvious diference between two groups(P 0.05).After treatment,there are no marked difference between the two groups at the level of IL-2 and IL-4 (P0.05 ).Conclusion: Treating chronic urticaria wind-heat syndrome with Shi Re Qing has rapid-action profile and reliable efficacy . Restraining I allergic reaction ,regulating immunity, antiinflammatory action, Antibiotic effect, diuretic effect, relieving itching, Sedative effect and lightening the mood may be the mechanisms.
