Clinical Observation on the Treatment of periarthritis of shoulder by “Shujin Tongluo”massage with Wrist ankle acupuncture therapy Speciality：Acupuncture and Massage Author ：Qin Houwei Tutor：Prof. Yu Juan Abstract Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of periarthritis of shoulder treated by “Shujin Tongluo”massage with Wrist ankle acupuncture therapy and its mechanism by clinical research. Methods: This subject selected 90 patients with periarthritis of shoulder were randomly divided into three groups: the treatment group, the massage group and the Wrist ankle acupuncture group. Each group contained 30 cases. At the end of the treatment, each group was compared by observing the score changes of their pain, symptoms, physical signs, mobility of the shoulder joint ，before and after the treatment to evaluate efficacy. Result: The total effective rate of the treatment group was 100 ﹪,while the massage group was 93.3 ﹪and the Wrist ankle acupuncture group was 90 ﹪, there was no significant difference between three groups （P0.05 ）.The cure rate of the treatment group was 43.75 ﹪，while the massage group was 16.3 ﹪and the Wrist ankle acupuncture group was 13.3 ﹪,there was significant difference between three groups （P ＜0.05 ）. After the treatment, the aspects of alleviating pain and improving the function of shoulder joint also has statistical difference (P0.05). Conclusion: “Shujin Tongluo”massage with Wrist ankle acupuncture therapy has notable curative effect on periarthritis of shoulder, and the pain is small, is easy to be accepted by patients, worthy of promotion.
