O bjective: A ccording to Chinese m edicine theory underlying virus ， U se of
prescription for gout W ith heat clearing and detoxicating, rem oving dam pness X iezhuo
m ethod in treatm ent of chronic gouty arthritis，O bjective to evaluate the clinical efficacy
and safety，D iscussion of Chinese m edicine treatm ent of gout in chronic phase m ethod.
M ethods: Patients w ere random ly assigned into tw o groups, 33 in the treated group
treated w ith Chinese and w estern m edicine com prehensive treatm ent and 31 in the control
group treated w ith w estern treatm ent. A fter treating 6 w eeks w e observed the varieties of
indexes.
R esults: 1.The tw o groups before treatm ent of uric acid in the blood, sym ptom s and
signs integral and duration of illness w ere no statistical difference.2.Traditional Chinese
m edicine groups before and after treatm ent, serum uric acid, integral com parison of
sym ptom s and signs. 3.The traditional Chinese m edicine group and control group in
reducing blood uric acid index has no obvious statistical difference.4.Chinese m edicine
group in im proving sym ptom s and signs of superior to the control group; 5.Chinese
m edicine group in the com prehensive curative effect obviously superior to the control
group; 6.Tw o groups in the rate of adverse reation com pared w ith no statistical difference .
C onclusion : Through clinical observation, tw o groups of drugs w ere on chronic
gouty arthritis w ith obvious therapeutic effect.The traditional Chinese m edicine group and
control group of patients w ith clinical sym ptom s and uric acid values than before treatm ent
