Clinical Research on JIAN-PI-YI-SHEN TANG in Treating Simple Obesity Speciality: Internal medicine of TCM Author: Zhang Na Tutor: Professor Zhao Quanlin Abstract Aim: To discuss the therapeutic effects to treat the simple obesity patients with Qi deficiency of the Spleen-kidney and Retention of phlegm-dampness after taking JIAN-PI-YI-SHEN TANG, so as to provide mechanism. Methods: equally randomized 60 simple obesity patients with Qi Deficiency of the Spleen-kidney and Retention of phlegm-dampness into 2 groups, they are: treatment group and control group. The patients in treatment group were taked JIAN-PI-YI-SHEN TANG , the patients in control group were taked LIU-WEI-NENG-XIAO capsules. After parting clinical research and contrastive therapeutic effects on clinical symptom; obesity weigh indices: weight, waist circumference, body mass index （BMI ）, waist and seat circumference ratio; blood-lipids level. Results: The total availability of treatment group was 86.7% and the control group was 60%. They had remarkable difference in total clinical effects （P0.05 ）. The treated group had an obviously better effect on improving clinical symptom, obesity weigh indices and blood-lipids level （P ＜0.05 OR P ＜0.01 ）. Conclusion: JIAN-PI-YI-SHEN TANG is effective for the simple obesity patients with Qi Deficiency of the Spleen-kidney and Retention of phlegm-dampness.
