Clinical and Trial Study on the Treatment of Osteoarthritis of the Lumbar with Fugujianbu Tablet Postgraduate: Yang Ming Supervisor: Professor Qi Kaize (Hunan College of TCM Changsha Hunan 410007) ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the clinical curative effect of Fugujianbu Tablet on Osteoarthritis(OA) of the lumbar and to discuss its mechanism by systematic clinical observation primarily. Methods: 60 cases of lumbar OA patients who were determined deficiency of kidney and liver, stagnation of blood stasis were divided randomly into the control group and the treatment group, the former was treated with Fugujianbu Tablet and the latter with Zhuangguguanjie Pill. Four weeks is a course of treament.A comparative study on clinical curative effect between the control group and the treatment group was conducted by examing the changing mark of each main and primary symptom or sign in fourth week and the summarized marks of the main and primary symptoms or signs in fourth week respectively in
