Unit 8 Multimedia Multimedia Unit 8 Multimedia The word multimedia is being used to describe a mixture of hardware .software and applications, with a consequent confusion in peoples minds as to what it is. it is a confusion situation that could lead to a missed opportunity for industry to develop a new marketplace. The term multimedia literally means many forms of communication and in a sense we have always been immersed in a multimedia environment because we are being that respond to sound , light, touch, and ideas.
