My Opinions of Filial Piety BY: ZhangXiang yun Filial piety is a traditional in China .With the development of the society, its definition also changed. In ancient time, the filial piety required children to have to give in to their parents in everthing. But at present, it`s different from ancient time. Now ,many people think that filial piety is to give their parents much money , so , a new phrase appeared--empty nester, they are not hard up, but no one companies with them, they are so lonely. Some people even thought it is parents’ responsibility to bring them up, so they do nothing except wasting their parents’ energy and money. They are named NEETs( Not in Education, Employment, or Training) In my opinions, respect and harmony is the basic of filial piety. Our parents gave us life. So ,no matter how they treat you, although they are plain even failure ,we should respect them. Now we can’t earned money, so we only need do some housework or give them a call usually. But when we graduate and have some ability to relieve their pressure. We should look after them and keep them company. Of course, I think the best way to practice filial piety is to treat our parents as good friends , to talk with them more and share things with them .
