* A wheel force transducer is more or less a “disk” that replaces the center hub of a wheel with a sensor capable of measuring 3 forces and 3 moments. Because the disk is at the hub interface, the center of measurement is offset from the center of the tire patch. However, the user of the wheel force transducer is often interested in loads data at either the tire patch or the center of the wheel. Because there is an offset of the sensor’s cent of measurement to either of these points of interest, a correction may be required.
