The Information Feedback of Hotel Staff English Training Questionnaire
The hotel staff English training of Beijing Enterprises Group Real-Estate Company has come to an end. The previous stage of the English training was from the end of October 2012 to 20th 12, 2012 which lasted for 8 weeks with 97 participators joined. Among them, there were 91 service staffs and 6 managerial staffs. For a more systematic study of the training effect and quality and a specific improvement of the next stage training, our school designed an information feedback questionnaire and has analyzed the result depending on the training satisfaction and participators’ needs. This research had received 53 valid questionnaires.
Choice questions analysis
1. Please give marks at all aspects of English training:
Chart 1
As can be seen from chart 1, the majority of participators choose “excellent” for almost all the aspects. In this chart, participators make high score at “Industry Level” and “Text Preparing” which are 94.3% and 84.5% respectively. They make the low score at “Teaching Management” and “Teaching Duration” which both account for 58.5% in total. After communicating with participators, we realized that there were four reasons why they made the low score at these two aspects:
For the teaching management, Participators hope that they could come to class on time, but sometimes it will not come true because there is a contradiction between work and study. This is the main reason why they were absent sometimes.
Participators hope the Chinese translation of section 3 (dialogue practice) and section 4 (role-play exercise) in the text book will be added to the recording.
Participators hope to extend the training duration.
For teaching methods, participators hope to add hotel videos and more training games in the English training class.
