It is the terminal equipment of the digital television transmission system. TKGS is a specification of the Turkey satellite TV updating, focusing on these set-top box used to watch Turkey satellite TV in retail market, which aims to design a standard DVB-S set-top box with the function of program information updating. This task mainly take the international DVB-S standards as a guide, making use of SPHE1506 development board and the system code of Sunplus, according to the TKGS specification and demands of users, producing these set-top boxes with updating function. The article talk about UI design and implementation of TKGS subsystem. The main contents are as follows: 1) According to the research content, this paper introduces the relevant theories of digital set-top box 2) In view of the TKGS subsystem in UI design requirements, this paper introduces the hardware and software system of TKGS subsystem and OSD technology. 3) According to the TKGS standard rules, it formulated the control process and operation mode of TKGS system. 4) It analysis and design the menu structures of TKGS. 5) Professional person uses tools to design UI, and then the UI related resources comes into being. Finally, they operates the UI code, code integration and debugging. In a word, this article takes the UI design and development of TKGS system as the main line, including the whole process of its design and development.
