Although Antarctica is covered with ice and there are volcanoes, too, there is also full of wildlife, which has adapted to its extreme conditions. So it is important for us to research it. And the nature state of its own can help scientists to research what the world’s climate was like in past ages. What’s more, it is a large landmass in the south that balanced the land in the north. 2. I think it’s not a good idea because the Treaty will restrict and affect the development of science and economy./ I think it’s good. The Antarctica Treaty not only replaced the rivalry that existed between many of the earlier explorers, but also prevented the commercial and military use of the continent; promoted international scientific projects; ended arguments about who owns the land. 3. As we know, if there weren’t an international treaty, the rivalry would still exist between many of the countries. Maybe there have been firing about who owns the land. In that case, the continent would be a fighting ground and the South Pole would be in damage and that would be the greatest calamity of human beings. 4. In 1964, a treaty of “The measure for protecting plants and animals of South Pole” was signed by many countries to protect the resource and environment. In 1972, a treaty for protecting sea dog was signed and in 1980, some countries signed a pact for protecting the resource of biology of the South Pole. 5.
